In recent years, NPP was sold to a new ownership group that brought with it an infusion of capital, an improved approach to serving customer needs, and a new company culture. A cornerstone of this new culture is accountability: for our employees, our customers, and our suppliers. We firmly believe in providing the proper resources, measuring performance and providing incentives for improvement.
Examples of the improvements implemented at NPP in recent years are:
- a computer network complete with T1 communications capability
- an ERP computer system
- ISO/TS16949-2002 registration
- an in-house machine operator apprentice program
- an incentive-based compensation system
- an upgraded CAD/CAM software for CNC department
- the creation and filling of several key management and staff positions
- an expansion of the building, including a training room
- the adoption of lean manufacturing practices
