Northern Precision Products utilizes several types of vision systems to assure the quality of our product. We use the digital optical comparator for both startup checks and in-process verification. We also use digital image measurement systems to verify concentricity and feature locations.

In addition, our screw machine products undergo dimensional verification using conveyor-driven inspection systems. Parts with conforming internal features fully seat on a customized gauge pin, which presents each finished component to a 2D optical micrometer for precise measurement. The micrometer automatically identifies acceptable components and places them directly into the shipping container. This automated inspection process, combined with our comprehensive quality systems, provides an added level of precision, consistency, and confidence in every production run.
